5 Ways to Love You

Hello my readers! Happy new week.

Since we are in the month of love, I gathered a few things we can start doing for ourselves starting today and forever more.

• Visualise who you want to become and show up as him/her – If you visualise yourself being confident and being a person who believes in what you are capable of, wake up in that suit every day.

• Create boundaries – Solidify who you are and who you want to be and create boundaries that do not jeopardise the life that you want to live. And create time to reflect on the boundaries you are crossing yourself. It can be negative self-talk or self-doubt.

• Make decisions for yourself – It’s okay to ask for advice when making decisions for yourself, but don’t forget to analyse and see if that certain angle aligns with you because we are different and we handle things differently.

• Self-Care – You all know the self-care that I am talking about. Taking care of yourself holistically, namely physical care, emotional care, mental, spiritual and social. For more context, read this blog.

• Taking yourself out on a date – I am still trying to do this, but it’s necessary to have a better relationship with yourself. So let’s dress up and take ourselves to dinner because we deserve it.

Feel free to comment on what you are doing to love yourself more or share what you would like others to do that has helped you to love yourself more.

I am a big, big fan of taking yourself out for a date! I love it. I think a date can be anything too – a quick walk and coffee. A journey to a bookstore. Sleeping in and watching movies with snacks. I am trying to romanticise my life because this is the life I chose. Such fantastic ideas!

The greatest love we can give ourselves is taking care of ourselves. Sadly, not many people know of the importance of self-care as we are tough at an early age how you always need to be go, go and go not prioritizing self-care.

  6. The one person who we must spend our entire lives with is the one we ignore the most. I am a believer in prioritizing. It seems like a heathen concept to us women to put ourselves first.
